Linda Macaulay has been instructing Pilates for 26 years having trained and worked at Wayne Sleep’s London Studio. She now instructs from her own private purpose built Studio which is set in a beautiful location with stunning views across the Sweetcombe Valley. Her daughter Kirstin has completed training with The Pilates Institute and has been instructing for the last 4 years.

The Pilates Method represents a unique approach to exercise that develops great body awareness, improving and changing the body's postural and alignment habits and increasing flexibility and ease of movement. Pilates builds great Core strength and tones the body by lengthening and firming all the muscles, therefore assisting the body to achieve its best possible shape.

The exercises are particularly beneficial for people who suffer back pain, and are a great help in all sorts of physical rehabilitation, including recovery from the after effects of cancer treatment. Linda frequently gets referrals from doctors, osteopaths, chiropractors and physiotherapists.

All levels of Pilates instruction are undertaken including mixed classes and classes for men. There are never more than 12 participants per group class and private and taster classes are available. The Studio is fully equipped and all form of Pilates small equipment are available.
